I brought a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo to DJ's to have it looked at before agreeing to purchase it from a private party. The shop uses a great software program called "Auto Insight" that allows them to generate a report complete with pictures taken under the car during inspection. The guys in the shop were extremely helpful and in addition to providing the report, they allowed me to come into the shop where they could point out potential issues personally. It was well worth the $80 or so I spent to have this set of reference information saved in my email as I embark on my journey with the vehicle, which I did purchase. I live about an hour away from the shop and they gave me references on good shops in my town, though if I can find the chance to spend some car-free time in Helena I'll make the effort to bring my rig back to DJs for maintenance.

Pleased that I was not told all kinds of things were wrong with my car. Pleased with the service. Thrilled that I was not subjected to a loud television while waiting for my service to be completed. Somewhat unhappy when I discovered that my driver side armrest and driver side seat had some mechanic grease marks. Pleased that (unlike previous experiences at other service businesses) that the grease marks were easy to remove.
